What We Believe

"What comes into our minds when we think about God is the most important thing about us." -A.W. Tozer

We exist to engage every generation to become Christ Followers.

Every generation has a place at M1BC with each being equally important.  We engage together here to engage with others in our home, community and world.

Passionate Worship

We value Sunday Morning Worship as the primary occasion for exalting the Lord in passionate worship together.  The purpose of our worship is not to please us, but Him by worshipping Him in spirit and in truth.
(John 4:23-24)

Sunday School

We value Sunday School as the primary means for authentic community and instruction for intentional living in our church family.  It is the small church within the bigger church where lasting relationships are made.
(1 Corinthians 12:12-27)

Relational Evangelism

We value Relational Evangelism as the primary means of sharing our faith with others.  We believe that a life of intentional living for Christ andunselfish service towards others will demand that an answer be given for the hope we have in us.  (1 Peter 3:15)

Strengthening Families

Helping the Hurting

Biblical Teaching

We value the Strengthening of Families knowing that the family is the primary source for the practice and instruction of passionate worship, intentional living, and unselfish service.   (Joshua 24:15)
We value Helping the Hurting who are in our community with unselfish service that would lead them to the knowledge of and relationship with Christ.
(James 2:14-18)
We value Biblical Teaching in all settings of Magnolia's First.  All teaching is validated through Scripture and leads believers to a life of intentional living for Christ.
 (2 Timothy 3:16)

Partnership Missions

We value Partnership Missions as our primary means of practicing unselfish service beyond our city and community.  We join with others to multiply their efforts throughout the world while leaving a lasting impact that will be continued year round.  These partnerships include physical and financial support of other established local churches, Compassion International, and Tryon Evergreen Baptist Association.
(1 Corinthians 3:8-11)

Core Beliefs

The following are the core beliefs of Magnolia's First Baptist Church based on the foundational truths taught in the bible. All of our teaching and ministry is rooted in and flows out of these biblical doctrines.

The following are the core beliefs of Magnolia's First Baptist Church based on the foundational truths taught in the bible. All of our teaching and ministry is rooted in and flows out of these biblical doctrines.

God has revealed himself to us through his son, Jesus Christ, who is the visible image of the invisible God, the holy scriptures, and through all of creation itself.

Humans, both male and female, were created in God's image for His glory. The first humans, Adam and Eve, were created without sin and appointed as caretakers of the rest of God's creations.

The Bible

The Holy Spirit inspired human authors to write the books of the Bible. God Himself chose every word of Scripture. The Bible is God’s love letter to all of humanity and is the final authority in every issue it communicates. It is complete Truth, and we can trust it for all matters in this life and eternity.

The Fall

When Adam and Eve chose not to obey God, they ceased to be what they were made to be and became distorted images of God. This caused them to fall out of fellowship with God, and fractured all of creation ever since that time.

Jesus Christ is returning one day to judge both the living and the dead and to usher in the fullness of God's kingdom on earth.

Jesus Christ came to reconcile us with God. He lived a life without sin and willingly died on the cross to pay the penalty for our transgressions. God raised him from the dead and now, by grace, offers as a free gift eternal life to all who follow Christ, by faith, as their Lord and Savior. That is why salvation can be found in Christ alone.

The Church

The Church is meant to be the visible body of Christ, sent into the world to glorify God and proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ.
